These buildings and this site are gathering places for lots of people and communities, and good work.
In te reo there’s a word koha which is often translated as a gift or donation, but really it’s something about ‘attention’ and ‘respect’.
When we get something from this place it can be good to give something back to it. This helps us buy day to day cleaning products & toilet paper, cover the heating and lights, coffee and tea, plants and candles… and also contributes towards those larger infrastructure projects that make the building sturdy, insured and sustainable so it can be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.
